What's New? ... The Kolkka/Keene Wedding.
We got to do something really fun this last weekend.
Not only did we photograph a beautiful wedding in Monterey, California, but the wedding was of one of our "little sisters" - a young lady that we photographed as a club volleyball player!
We've been photographing the Kolkka girls for years now (since at least 2003) and early this year Fran Kolkka got in touch to let me know that Christine (her middle daughter) was getting married and wanted to know if I would photograph it for the family.
I was thrilled!
Jason and I photographed the wedding of Christine and William and posted a few images here.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone - I hope you have a wonderful holiday.
Our family spent it together at my parents home and we had the wonderful fortune of spending it with an uncle and cousin of mine that we hadn't seen in quite a LONG time.
Earlier in the week, I snuck out of town for a few days and visited a friend of mine in Yosemite. As a photographer, most people would automatically assume 'AHA! You must have gone to photograph the park.' Actually, the truth is I mostly lounged about and watched movies. I know - shameful. :)
However, this morning, as I was leaving the park, I did have the great pleasure of some beautiful morning light and frost in the valley and just couldn't help myself.
So here are some Thanksgiving portraits of Yosemite Valley.
I'm an unreformed, closet landscape photographer - it's something I've really enjoyed since I was in high school. However, these days I rarely get the chance. This was a real pleasure. The valley was very quiet, the air was wonderfully crisp and cold. I even had a very unexpected encounter with a buck and several does as well as a coyote that went trotting on by me. It was so quiet that I could hear leaves falling from trees across the river from me!
One of these days I'll make a point of doing this more often ...
What's New? ... Meet the Fuhs.
We had a lot of fun photographing the Fuhs family yesterday (we've been photographing volleyball for them since at least 2003 and they FINALLY had us come out and do a portrait of them! :) meet the Fuhs.
What's New? ... Elk Grove HS Volleyball Team Pictures.
We just finished photographing Elk Grove High School's Volleyball team pictures ... check them out!
What's New? ... Aedyn Rose comes to visit.
Aedyn is the newest member of the Hall family and she's already adored by everyone. If you like children, take a peek - she's darling! Here she is!

As we try to get the word out more and more regarding our portrait photography, we are offering a special on our portrait photography to our existing volleyball clients this Fall.
From now until the 10th of December, we will credit our normal session fee completely towards any prints that you order. That's a $150 savings!
